Sometimes... I even physically suffer - in the D minor Prelude for example. It's like a needle pricking the music as a lepidopterist pins a live butterfly to his board. The butterfly spins in agony around the pin, unable to free itslef... I too seem to revolve in torment on the pin, and I experience release only on return to the tonic.
